Our House League is designed using a two-year combined age grouping, such as 8U, 10U, etc.  Players are eligible for age brackets based on the Age Matrix that is based on birth year, provided by the New York State West Youth Soccer Association. In the House League, players are required to play within their Age Matrix. Players new to ASA may be asked to provide proof of age upon registration.

EQUIPMENT

All players will be required to wear an Amherst Soccer Association House Uniform Kit. Current uniforms will be in use through June 2026.  Uniform kits can be ordered during registration. The uniform kit includes a red jersey, white jersey, shorts and socks. IF YOU ARE ORDERING A NEW UNIFORM, YOU NEED TO ADD THAT PURCHASE DURING REGISTRATION UNDER FEATURES PRIOR TO CHECKOUT.

Additionally, all players must wear shin guards under their soccer socks, the appropriate soccer shoes (turf or cleats outdoors; flats or turf indoors), bring their own soccer ball (#3 for ages 5-8, #4 for ages 10-12, #5 for ages 13+) and bring water to every game.

PLAY

Eight games are played throughout each session on Saturdays with an occasional Sunday due to holidays, etc. from February 7, 2026 - March 28. Game times vary week-to-week between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m and grouped by age bracket. Games are approximately 1 hour in length (2 x 20 minute halves).  The schedule will be available and posted ahead of each session.

PRACTICE

Due to the limited space available during the indoor sessions, house teams will not have an additional practice.

Once Registration has closed, our volunteer coordinators work arduously and efficiently to form teams. Our volunteer House Coordinators work arduously and very efficiently in creating teams for each session. Due to the time frame and complexity of managing a substantial number of players, it is difficult to honor requests for players to be on the same team. Siblings who are in the same age matrix will be placed on the same team. If a parent volunteers to coach one of the teams, they may request one additional player for their respective team.
