Western NY needs referees for soccer.
Amherst Soccer employs referees that are all certified by the local association. If you become certified to referee soccer, you can also work doing travel league games, as well as House league, all summer long. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 12 YEARS OLD to become a referee.
To make it easier for the Amherst kids interested, we are offering three class opportunites at the Village Glen. Registration is at your cost and through the link provided. Please do not respond to me with questions. All questions should be directed to Bill Helwig at firstname.lastname@example.org or review the web site for the WNY Referee Unit link below. Once you complete the certification, contact ASA to be included on future referee employment scheduling.
WNYSRA has set up a complete set of Instructions on http://www.wnyreferee.org, click on become a Referee at the site. The three Amherst courses are on Saturday 1/11, Sunday 2/16 or Sunday 3/15. 9am to 5pm for each course. Each is a one-day classroom and field time course. The first part of your certification must be done on-line and the second part is in-person on one of the dates listed. Please note that seating is limited (20 per course). The site will also show the dates of other courses available throughout the Buffalo area if these dates are not convenient.
